FortiClient is used at Archway Programs to provide secure access to your network. Below are the steps for logging in, managing security tokens, and ensuring proper shutdown to avoid issues.
Step 1: Logging In
- Enter Your Username: Your FortiClient login is your first initial followed by your last name (e.g., jdoe).
- Enter Your Password: Use the password that is synced with your email and PC. If you have recently updated your email or PC password, it will automatically sync with FortiClient.
Step 2: Token Authentication (For Users Who Require Extra Security)
- Check Your Email for the Token: If you are required to use a token for additional security, you will receive an email with instructions on how to activate it.
- Activate the Token Promptly: It's important to activate the token in a timely manner after receiving the email. This ensures your secure access is set up without delay.
- Access the Token via Mobile App: The token is accessed through a mobile app. Follow the instructions in the email to download and set up the app on your smartphone.
Step 3: Properly Shutting Down FortiClient
- Always Shut Down FortiClient Properly: To avoid creating multiple active sessions, make sure you properly log out and shut down FortiClient when you're done using it. Failing to do so can lead to connection issues or security concerns.
Reminder: Password Syncing
- Password Syncing: Your FortiClient password is synced with your email and PC password. If you update your password, it will automatically sync across all systems, including FortiClient.
