Troubleshooting: FortiClient Stuck at 40%
If you’re finding that your FortiClient connection gets stuck at 40%, don’t worry—this is a common issue that can be easily resolved. The reason for the delay is that you need to approve a security certificate to proceed with the connection.
How to Fix FortiClient Stuck at 40%:
1. Watch for the Certificate Prompt: When the connection reaches 40%, a prompt will appear asking you to approve the security certificate. This prompt may sometimes be minimized or behind other windows, so make sure to check your screen carefully.
2. Click “Yes”: Once you see the certificate prompt, click “Yes” to approve the connection. This will allow FortiClient to proceed from 40% to 100% and complete the connection successfully.
3. Reminder: Your FortiClient password is synced with your email and PC login credentials. If you’ve recently updated your password, make sure to use the updated one when logging into FortiClient.
What to Do If You Miss the Prompt:
•If you missed the certificate prompt and FortiClient is stuck at 40%, try disconnecting and reconnecting. This time, keep an eye out for the certificate approval window.
